Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of LiabilityWe Cambridge Open College warrant that we will carry out the service you have requested with a reasonable level of care and skill. Any liability arising under any agreement between you and us shall be limited to any sums paid by you to us. As far as permitted by law, we shall not be liable to any person for losses or damages that were not reasonably foreseeable and that were not caused by any breach on our part.
If you require any changes to these terms, please request such changes in writing to Cambridge Open College. We do not undertake to incorporate such changes, but any mutually beneficial suggestions will be considered.
We shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect loss or damage as a result of your course enrolment. Should any liability arise, it will be limited to the course fee paid.
We affirm that the course materials provided will meet a satisfactory standard. We aim to produce materials of the highest quality however we do not affirm that they will be error free. You are responsible for inspecting the course materials as soon as is reasonably possible following receipt. It is your sole responsibility to contact us should the course materials not be received in a satisfactory condition.
Currently a few of our courses are sent to you from our partner organisations. This will be made clear in your course documentation, and means your course materials and final certificate will also come from them.

Many of our courses are accredited by national Awarding Organisations. Due to changes in certification processes, it may occasionally be necessary to substitute an Awarding Organisation for another of similar or superior status. Such substituted accreditation will always be from an Ofqual-regulated provider. We reserve the right to do so according to operational requirements, without individual notification.
We will not allow copying of work and where plagiarism is found we reserve the right to withdraw the student from the course without a refund of the course fee.
Assignments must be submitted using the online student interface, or exceptionally by post in specific cases agreed by us in writing. It is suggested you keep copy of such submissions to protect against loss, and if submitting by post you would be well advised to use a trackable guaranteed delivery service. We do not accept any liability for non-delivery.

We will dispatch your course the same day if ordered before 2pm. Should your order be placed after this time we will post the next business day. For students enrolled on an online-only programme, you will receive access to your course materials within 24 hours of purchase.
Should you choose to pay in instalments these will be taken on the anniversary date of your first payment and will conclude once your account is clear.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional) Charges Regulations 2014, you have the right to cancel your course within 14 days. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your course by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email) within 14 days from the day you receive access. We will process the refund for your course within 14 days of receiving your notification. Refunds are not available for international students (living outside of the UK and Ireland). After the 14 days have elapsed we will not accept a refund request. You remain liable for all fees plus any additional charges incurred for administration, failed direct debit payments or chasing action, including legal fees if appropriate.
