ENDORSED QUALIFICATION AT LEVEL 4
Do you see life as a series of opportunities to party, and revel in that concept? Could you be trusted to plan and coordinate the most important day in someone’s life? Would you describe yourself as a peoples’ person with an ability to organise? Does the idea of a brand new career in a thriving industry appeal to you?
If you answer “Yes” to any of these then our Wedding Planning & Events Course might be just the ticket for you! You will learn how to organise and manage events professionally, from weddings and private parties to festivals and large charity events!
The wedding industry is worth over £4 billion per year and the average wedding in the UK costs between £15,000 and £20,000. The special events industry has grown enormously in the past decade. Business opportunities arising from celebrations, commemorations, education and promotions further enhance the earning capacity of the Events Manager.
With accreditation through the Focus Awards Focus on Quality Provision (FQP) Scheme, our brand-new Wedding Planning and Events Management Course offers you a real insight into project management, providing you with the skills and knowledge to be able to effectively plan and coordinate a wide range of events and weddings.
Ten units make up the course, which you may view in more detail on the ‘Modules’ tab above. Learning outcomes cover aspects of corporate planning, the logistics of arranging a large-scale event, including detailed study of wedding planning and observation of health and safety requirements.
Planners of an event will be expected to handle many tasks, such as venue selection, budget planning, catering and provision of music and entertainment. You will explore these aspects of hospitality throughout the course, as well as covering legal and compliance issues.
In our increasingly diverse society, there is even a section on planning weddings for different cultures that are a part of UK society today, such as Jewish, Muslim and Hindu families. Practical assignments throughout the course will give you the confidence to tackle the job “for real”.
No course of this nature would be complete without planning tools for marketing the business within both corporate and private sectors. These are provided in the final unit.
Surprisingly, the Wedding Planning and Events Management Course has no entry requirements, other than personal motivation, desire and a genuine interest in the subject matter.
Creativity is the basis of a good wedding planner. A capacity to think on your feet is also a bonus. The ability to network well and build relationships with service providers will stand you in good stead, as will organisational skills and an eye for detail. If you have the confidence to promote yourself, why not avail of the training and expertise to turn that dream into a reality. The course materials are laid out in an understandable format. You will also receive dedicated tutor support, regular feedback, and all assignments are marked by one of our professional tutors.
