ENDORSED QUALIFICATION AT LEVEL 3
An exciting new addition to our Business Professional series of courses, the Employment Law course offers a rich insight into the fascinating world of employment law.
The administration and management of any business is completely dependent on its people, and the way they are recruited, directed, compensated and eventually released. Ethical and proper practice is enshrined in law, governed by legislation and administered by recognised ‘best practice’. If employers deviate from ‘best practice’, they may face an Employment Tribunal, which may enforce payment of thousands of pounds of compensation. Thus, employment law is a critically important aspect of business.
Spread into 10 exciting and diverse modules (which are covered in detail on the ‘Modules’ tab above), the Employment Law course will give students a solid grounding in employment law. You will learn how to develop a happy and willing workforce, adhere to essential laws and avoid Tribunal. You will also study employment terms and contracts, grievance and disciplinary procedures, redundancy management, and much more.
Whether you’re already working in the industry or seeking a new challenge, this course will equip you with the essential knowledge and core competencies expected from an effective Human Resources or Personnel Manager. By the time you’ve completed the course, you will be able to show potential employers that you have the skills and insight required to treat employees fairly, protect their business from legal challenges and ultimately- save them a potential fortune. After all- some tribunal claims are uncapped!
Although this course is open to professionals who wish to advance their careers, you may be surprised to learn that there are no set entry requirements. We wanted to make the Employment Law course as accessible as possible to bright students, so, if you have a decent standard of literacy and a keen interest in this subject, you are very welcome to apply. We supply all students with a study guide to help them get started. You will also be assigned a personal tutor who can offer guidance.
