Design And Technology CoursesPosted by : October 11, 2021 admin
Once upon a time, Design and Technology Courses were primarily in practical subjects taught in schools, such as woodwork, metalwork and a little more recently computing (now called ICT; Information and Communications Technology).
Today, with the rapidly increasing prevalence of digital design tools and software, such as Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator, and even 3-D Modelling, much design and technology subject matter has become more conceptual.
However, many practical subjects of interest to people from a wide range of age groups and backgrounds are still in huge demand. Examples include Digital Photography, Garden Design, Interior Design, and more specialised areas such as architecture (including floor planning and space design), aviation and marine.
Design and technology courses are available for study in almost all educational institutions at many levels. While University degree courses are necessary for higher-level career choices in those more specialised areas, most of the skills and knowledge required for the more practical applications listed above can be obtained through online or distance learning. Cheaper and more convenient for many.
Cambridge Open College is expanding its Design and Technology Courses range, which already includes Digital Photography, Garden Design, and Interior Design.
