Consisting of 4 diverse and exciting modules, the Forensic Science course is split into several main focus areas- forensics, criminology and human anatomy and physiology.
Focussing on the core skills, competencies and knowledge expected from industry professionals, this course is tailored to give students a solid grounding in forensic science. You’ll build your understanding of the different types of crime scenes, and discover the different techniques and methods employed to solve criminal investigations. You will also explore the fascinating areas of human anatomy and physiology, as well as learning about extracting DNA, crime scene reconstruction and criminal profiling.
This fascinating and popular course has no entry requirements, and is open to students with basic numeracy and literacy, as well as a strong interest in this area of study. We have designed the Forensic Science course to be as accessible as possible, and send out a comprehensive study guide to new students, to help them ease into student life. You will also be assigned a personal tutor, who will offer help and guidance, should you ever need any.
